What We Collect

When you use our cost calculator or submit your details, we may collect:

  • Mobile phone number (verified via WhatsApp OTP)
  • Email address and name (optional)
  • Postcode and state
  • Calculator selections: build type, floor area (sqm), number of bedrooms, finish quality, slope, and site access
  • Technical data: IP address, user agent, referrer, landing page, form timing, UTM parameters

How We Use Your Information

  • To generate your granny flat cost estimate
  • To match you with qualified granny flat builders (only if you request this)
  • To communicate with you via WhatsApp (OTP verification, report delivery)
  • To improve our calculators and educational content
  • To detect and prevent fraud (bot submissions, fake leads)

Third-Party Sharing

We may share your information with:

  • Qualified builders — via the CrocLeads marketplace, only when you request builder quotes. Your details are shared with a limited number of vetted builders.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — your phone number is sent to Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API via whatsapp.stayboba.com for OTP verification and message delivery.
  • Cloudflare — we use Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. Turnstile does not use Google tracking or set advertising cookies.

We do not sell your data to data brokers or use it for advertising purposes.

Data Retention

Leads are retained in the builder marketplace for 60 days, after which they are archived. Calculator inputs submitted without phone verification are not stored permanently.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure, which includes data centres in Australia and other regions.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@grannyflatcost.com.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka, India.
